This morning, we arrived in Taipei. My Finland trip is finally finished. I love this trip very much. In Finland, I learned a lot of Finland culture, and teaching robots helps me understand robots more. It seems that I bought too less souvenirs and presents, I didn’t use a lot of my pocket money. If this trip can be longer and not so hurry, it’ll be even better!!

Today we went to a folk island near Helsinki. There are a lot of wild small animals and trees in it. There are also lots of small houses from the Arctic Circle. I saw a lot of swan and ducks on the beach. It‘s a beautiful island. Then, we went to see the NOKIA Headquarter Building. Finally, we went to the airport and got on our way to end this wonderful Finland trip. Good-bye Helsinki, and good-bye Finland!

This morning, we took the same kind of ocean liner back to Helsinki. When we arrive in Helsinki, we went to the biggest department store in Helsinki, STOCKMANN. After I’m finish buying what I need. I decide to go look around inside instead. On the way to go back, we saw a helicopter staying in a same place in the sky, there are also a lot of police around STOCKMANN. Justice asked one of the police what’s going on? We find out that the Russian president is going to pass by here, so we stayed and watch them pass by. It’s very cool!

Tallinn, Estonia day-tour (4/19)

This morning, I got on a HUGE OCEAN LINER that took us to Tallinn. Tallinn is a city in Estonia. There are 10 flours in the ocean liner. And there are a lot of shops and markets in the ocean liner, I was surprised. When we arrive, a guide introduced Tallinn to us and took us look over the city. We visit the main church. We walked in the old town street. I visit a lot of souvenir shops, and amber shops. The ambers are really expensive, so I only bought two really small ones. The old street town is really beautiful. Today I had a great time.

back to Helsinki (4/18)

Today I had a snow fight in the morning. Then we got on a train that take us back to Helsinki. After we arrived in Helsinki, the teachers took us to the Hotel. Then the teachers took us to the “Finnish Chinese restaurant” again. In the restaurant, we talked about SciFest and a lot of thing that we did in Finland.

Today is the second day of SciFest. There are two schools that took there students here to learn robot. So I teach some people to make our 9 axis robot in the morning. In the afternoon, the students suddenly all disappeared. So I introduce our robots like I did yesterday. Sometimes I go teach someone to make the micro robot. The special thing is, one of the Apollo 17 astronauts came in the afternoon. He told everyone a lot about his trip in space. At night, we have a nice dinner with a lots of friends and teachers, it was delicious.

The main reason I am here in Finland today is because of Scifest, and this day finally came to me. I spent most of my day to introduce our robots to the visitors. This job is not so easy and not so hard, because I get nervous to talk with a lot of foreigners (in fact “I “am the foreigner). My teacher told us that we can’t “wait” for the questions from the visitors, We need to take the initiative to host guests. In the afternoon, there is a presentation ceremony of Scifest, and we got the “Golden Award”! When we went back to Youth Hostel, we ate pizza for dinner. It was a quite happy day.

2nd and 3rd school (4/15)

This morning, I went to Nepenmaen koulu School. My buddies introduce the school to us. One of my friends (from Taiwan) told me that the teachers in Finland’s elementary school all have master's degrees. This would really be a reason they have such a good education.After lunch, I went to Niinivaaran Koulu School. I taught them make the micro robots again, and this time I succeed! In this school, I like their Technology Division and Wood carving class classroom because they have really good device and tools. Then, we went to the SciFest venue. We moved a lot of tables and chair to get ready of tomorrow’s activities.

in Pielisjoen Koulu School (4/14)

Today we spent the whole day time in Pielisjoen Koulu School. In the morning, I taught an 8 grader to make the micro robot bug. I was sad that I didn’t teach him well, I even made a lot of mistakes.

In the afternoon, Roosa took us went around the school and introduce the school to us. I found out that the students in Finland don’t have to go to school in the same time. The time students have to arrived school depends on their first class and their last class.

I really like their music class and art class because they seems more interesting and fun to me. After school, the host family took me home. They are all really nice to me. They took us to a place by a frozen lake, and we played the snow on it and had a nice barbecue by the frozen lake. It fells really good. At night, I tried the sauna. Although my sauna is only up to 70℃ , but I still enjoyed it very much.

train to Joensuu (4/13)

In the morning, the train arrived Helsinki at 6:30. I went back to the hotel that I lived the first day to get our luggage. We had a delicious breakfast at the hotel. Then, we get on a train that sent us to Joensuu.
This time there are two floors on the train, but there aren't any beds. After we arrived in Joensuu we went to the Youth Hostel. It's the hostel they we're going to stay quite a long time!

in Rovaniemi (4/12)

In the morning , our train arrived in Rovanimie at about 9:30.I was so excited that there are snow everywhere.I discovered that a lot of the place that we "planned" to visit are mostly closed (Easter vacation), that's to bad!
So we went on a mountain and have a huge snowfight insted.

For lunch , I went to the Northest Mcdonals.

The most important thing in Rovaniemi is to visit the Santa Claus Village.

I visited Santa's Main Office and took a photo with Santa.

I also wrote a lot of letters home there.At night, Iwent on the train again and went back to Helsinki.

Helsinki-day tour (4/11)

This morning the teacher get a one-day-ticket of the 3T tram for us.
I had a Helsinki-day tour to visit the important Attractions in Helsinki.
I can see seagles everywhere on the street. I visited a lot of Street vendors beside the wharf.

I also visited a beautiful brown church ,

the sibalius park,

and the church that is made of rocks.
I took a lot of photos of all the special thing I saw today.
At night, I got on the train to Rovaniemi in Artic circle.

after I opened my eyes,

the first thing I see is the"one thirty" on the clock

oh! today is the first day I am going to Finland.

On the way to the airport,

I can't see any cars on the road.

That's amazing!!

I took the airplane to HungKung,

and then took Finnair to Helsinki.

After I ate "Finnish Chinese food" for dinner

I walked around the city although I have a long day

(because I have to minus 5 hours after I arrived)

I saw a lot of beautiful churches and buildings there

At the church as you see , I found out that there is a
parad this night . So I join the parad
